Community Alert:
Graffiti and tagging (a form of graffiti) are crimes that affect
the entire community. They hurt businesses, neighborhoods and schools.
They depreciate property values. The city of Glendale and the Glendale
Police Department have implemented a STOP-GAP program which includes arrest,
prosecution, restitution, and clean-up.
Graffiti and tagging are forms of vandelism, a criminal offense. Persons
who are caught will be subject to arrest. The PARENTS or LEGAL GUARDIANS
of minors who are caught tagging or writing graffiti may be held financially
liable for up to $10,000. If school district property is vandalized, the
STUDENT may be suspended and/or expelled from school.
The City of Glendale has mobilized its resources to combat graffiti.
Join with the Glendale City Council, the Office of the City Attorney,
